A lifetime dedicated to wellness
Seoul Sun Acupuncture & Wellness launched in 2022, a lifetime project of 35 years in the making. Sekyo Yun has set forth to offer Oriental treatments in his home clinic. His space warrants an intimate and tranquil setting, conducive to relaxation, comfort, and healing. He creates customized treatment plans to help patients of all ages and abilities get meaningful and effective results. He strives to offer his patients relief from pain, restored mobility, and the ability to live a more active lifestyle.
Sekyo has been working with patients for more than three decades who seek balance in their lives through this Oriental medicine approach. Born in South Korea, he started to learn acupuncture at a young age to treat his ailing mother. This fueled a lifetime dedicated to helping those in pain and discomfort. After high school, he was given the opportunity to study at a culinary school in Tokyo to learn Japanese cuisine. This is where he met his first mentor, who introduced him to natural herbs and how herbal remedies react with the body. Throughout his life, he has combined food and natural herbs in a way that food not only feeds the body, but also enhances one’s overall health. He previously owned a Japanese restaurant for 24 years.
Sekyo holds a Master of Science in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York, and is licensed to practice in Connecticut and New York. Sekyo is a nationally board-certified NCCAOM diplomat and lives in Branford, CT.
